Shannon O'Neil - AnalogDigital Spaces
Saturday Morning - Shannon made an interesting discovery on a trip home over Thanksgiving, she found the 40 or so stuffed animals she had as a kid and a series of old Saturday morning cartoons. Watching the video, she was shocked by the images of consumption in the ads and began to question why as a girl she would need so many things.
For her physical computing project she cut up the 40 stuffed animals and Frankensteined them into a new creature. She then added a series of sensors to the animal that let the toy control, distort and change a video loop of the comercials. Made with Max/MSP and Basic Stamp. Click the Image for a demo movie.

Invisible String - For this assignment students had to design, execute and document an interaction based upon a non-verbal communication. In this example the students are pulling a nonexistent string to see if the pedestrians will attempt to step over it thereby perhaps valuing the non-verbal communication over what there eyes tell them is not there.
